Careers Education and Guidance for all year groups is built into the programme for Personal and Social Education and we are working towards achieving all of the Gatsby Benchmarks. The following Idsall School policy is available in pdf documents:
The Careers Leader is Mrs Lucy Kendall and she can be contacted at
Or by telephone on 01952 468400
To support Careers Education in school, a Careers Convention is held every year and representatives from colleges and local employers are invited to attend to speak with our pupils. We are regularly supported at this event by the Army, Epson, the Department for Work and Pensions, Harper Adams University, TCAT and many others.
The National Careers Service also provides information, advice and guidance to help you make decisions on learning, training and work opportunities. The service offers confidential and impartial advice. This is supported by qualified careers advisers: https://nationalcareersservice.direct.gov.uk
There is lots of useful information to download at the bottom of this page. From planning for leaving in year 11, to links to colleges and apprenticeships as well as university. There are links to a range of career specific websites and online questionnaires to help students think about what jobs they might be suit them best. We hope you find them helpful.
